Summer Youth Theatre Camp

When: July 19-23

Calling all young actors/actresses, dancers, and singers - enrollment is now open for Starlight Mountain Theatre's 15th annual Summer Youth Theatre Camp!

For one week, participants have the opportunity to learn from and play with the Starlight actors, and then perform the pre-show right on the Starlight stage! This year, students will learn songs from Seussical the Musical and perform the pre-show entertainment for the Friday show. The camp is open to anyone ages 6 to 18 years. Camp is held on the Starlight stage from 9 am to 12 pm, Monday through Friday.

Campers will perform songs from Seussical the Musical twice on Friday the 23rd. The first performance will be at 7pm. It is for all the parents and loved ones of the campers. This performance is free. The second performance will be the preshow for Starlight's production of Mary Poppins. Tickets for Mary Poppins that night must be purchased in order to watch this preshow performance.

Tickets for the show on Kid's Camp night tend to go fast, so make sure you get your tickets early.

Kids Camp Directors

(Casdorph Sisters)

Andrea Fife

Andrea has been working with youth in theatre in Utah and Idaho for over 20 years. After working as choreographer for the Draper Youth Show Choir, Andrea joined the Starlight spring break camp production staff as music director for Alice in Wonderland Jr. and High School Musical 2 Jr. Inspired by Starlight's ability to produce quality performance experiences on a short timeframe, Andrea developed the Empress Youth Theatre program in Magna, Utah where she produced and/or directed seven youth productions. Andrea is excited to return to Starlight to work with another generation of young performers.

Lisa Larsen

Lisa has enjoyed doing theatre since she was a little girl in Utah.  It was one of her favorite things to do with her family growing up.  Lisa has been in over 20 shows and has enjoyed playing a wide variety of characters.  Lisa has not been able to do as much theatre since moving away from Utah.  She is glad when she gets a chance every now and again to perform.  Lisa is excited to be able to work with her sisters on Kid's Camp and be able to help pass on her love of theater to other kids, especially her own.

Michelle Davis

Many of you may have seen Michelle on the Starlight stage over the past decade or so, where she has played many roles. Michelle has been helping run Starlight's Kid's Camp for almost as many years as she has been performing at Starlight. This year she is excited to be able to work with her sisters to produce a great camp experience for this year's campers.
