INFORMATION FOR KIDS AUDITIONS

• We will be holding an audition just for kids that want to audition for Von Trapp children in The Sound of Music and Les in Newsies.

• It will be January 20th from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. 

           The Eagle River Event Center 1015 s bridgeway pl. Eagle, Id

• We have 2 audition times available: 10:00 and 10:30. Dance call will start at 11:00 a.m.

 

HOW TO SIGN UP

WHAT TO PREPARE 

• 30-60 seconds of a broadway style song that you feel best shows off your vocal talents and personality. (A speaker will be provided.)

• A headshot that you will need to bring to the audition. (You can also bring a resume if you want, but it is not necessary.)

 

WHAT TO EXPECT

• We hold open auditions, meaning that some of your fellow auditionees will be in the room with you. 

• You will be called up by your name when we are ready for you. You will hand your device to Ryan, our technical director. He will give you a sound check. This means that Ryan will start your song and make sure that the volume level is where you would like it to be. Once you are happy with that, we will ask you to state your name and what song you will sing. Then you will perform your song. (Please make sure that your song is downloaded as we do not always have reliable service or internet.) Our Stage Manager, Lina, will be recording you.

• Once both groups have finished, we will hold a special dance call for kids.

• Following that, we might have a few kids stay and read or sing with Jackie, our assistant Music director, for callbacks. If you are not asked to stay for callbacks, you will be welcome to leave but not required. 

• Once the entire audition process is concluded (depending on time), we would love to chat and answer any questions.
