Our 2023 Season will consists of
4 Broadway Musicals:

The Commitment is from May 10 - August 19.
Our 5th show will run from August 21- September 2.

Starlight hires three categories of personnel:
-
Core actors: Actors and crew members that are cast in or work the four main shows running from May 26th through August 19th. Housing is provided for all core actors.
​

College and High School Interns: Actors that are cast in 3-4 of the shows running from May 26th through August 19th. (This category was created to enable more actors to work on their craft at Starlight) Housing is provided for college interns and possibly some high school interns.

Technical crew members: Tech crew members can be hired in any of the above categories. Starlight looks to hire 2-3 crew members each summer. If you are interested. Please sign up for an audition spot at one of our auditions.
Audition Requirements (not *SOTA)

30-60 seconds of a song that you feel best shows off your singing pipes and personality.

Your own backing track.

30-60 second monologue in the style of one of the 5 shows from our 2023 lineup. (not Boise)

What to expect (Boise)
-
During your time slot, you will be asked to perform your song selection.

At 12:30 and 2:30 p.m. we will hold the dance auditions for the preceding time slots.
-
From 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. there will be invitation only, cold read call-backs.
What to expect (*SOTA)

The Summer and Outdoor Theatre Auditions are run by the SETC, so they work differently than all our other auditions. Please visit https://outdoor-theatre.org/auditions/ for more information.
What to expect

During your time slot, you will be asked to perform both your song selection and monologue.

The dance auditions will follow the performance auditions.

The invitation only, cold read call-backs will follow.

VIDEO AUDITIONS
While we prefer in-person auditions, we understand that not everyone will be able to make it to one of our live auditions. So we do accept video submissions at auditions.starlight@gmail.com.
